In a vibrant celebration of the enduring bond between Pakistan and Türkiye, an award ceremony was held at the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad for a nationwide art competition organized by the Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan.
The event, themed “Pakistan-Türkiye Friendship,” brought together young artists from across the country, highlighting cultural affinity and shared values between the two nations.
Addressing the ceremony as the chief guest, Minister of State for Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, emphasized the exemplary nature of Pakistan-Türkiye relations. “The sincere friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Türkiye serve as a foundation for global peace and are a shining example for the world,” she said.

She further noted that the bond between the two nations is timeless and unconditional. “Our relations transcend strategic interests — we respond to each other’s needs as if we are one body, one soul. Türkiye’s heartfelt support to Pakistan during times of regional tension, such as the recent Pak-India standoff, is testament to this unwavering brotherhood,” she added.

Ms. Qamar also congratulated the Yunus Emre Institute for organizing the event and hailed it as a creative initiative to pass on the legacy of Pakistan-Türkiye friendship to future generations.
Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Irfan Neziroğlu commended the participants and said, “The artworks of the 1,500 students who participated are more than just paintings; they are reflections of the deep and sincere ties that connect our two brotherly nations.” He praised the imagination and creativity of the children, calling their work “a new source of hope.”

Dr. Halil Tokar, Head of Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan, echoed similar sentiments, saying, “Türkiye and Pakistan may be two countries, but we are one nation. Yunus Emre Institute will continue to serve as a cultural bridge between our people.”
The competition was divided into two age categories:
Category 1 (Ages 7–11):
1st Place: Syed Shaheed Talha
2nd Place: Hadia Amjad
3rd Place: Aniya Haroon
Special Prizes: Syeda Tayyaba Ghayur, Paghanda Ilyas, and Zarwa Naeem Khan
Category 2 (Ages 12–16):
1st Place: Zainab Azhar
2nd Place: Rumaisa Fatima
3rd Place: Amna Jawad
The winners received cash prizes: PKR 100,000 for first place, PKR 50,000 for second, PKR 25,000 for third, and PKR 10,000 each for special award recipients.
